When evaluating ADHD symptoms in your child, consider these key factors:

1. Gender differences

Boys: Often exhibit hyperactivity and impulsivity.
Girls: May display inattention more subtly, often being perceived as daydreaming or shy.

2. Multiple settings

Symptoms must occur in more than one setting (e.g., home, school) to consider an ADHD diagnosis. Look for patterns of behaviour across different environments.
